A child took the training wheels off and a thief simply took off with the hot wheels.
An Alabama boy who showed up at Walmart to pick up a prize for riding his bicycle without training wheels had it stolen from the store’s parking lot, Hueytown Police said.
The incident took place Sunday morning in Hueytown, a Birmingham suburb, and police quickly released surveillance footage of a man in a Detroit Tigers baseball cap and T-shirt loading the bike into a pickup truck at 11 a.m.

Not only did generous cops promptly buy the 7-year-old victim a new bike, but officers also tracked down their suspect by Sunday evening.
A tipster led Hueytown Police to the man, where cops found another child riding the hot wheels at about 6:30 p.m., The Birmingham News reported.
The man, who has not been identified, is in jail pending arraignment Tuesday.
And the child who had his bike stolen now has two rides.
“His father said he could grow into that one,” Hueytown Sgt. Michael Shupe told The Birmingham News. “He was pretty excited.”
