A gun-toting driver shook hands with police after fending off a would-be carjacker at an Atlanta parking lot.
“You know what this is,” the perp allegedly told Hashim Fannin, making himself at home in the passenger seat of Fannin’s parked car, according to WSB-TV.
The alleged car jacking attempt failed to amount to anything because Fannin pulled out a gun and ordered him out, the aftermath of which is now shown in a witness video of the encounter between Edgar Horn.
Fannin kept his cool while keeping the 61-year-old suspect, Horn, on the ground at gunpoint, the video obtained by WSB-TV shows. He also had plenty of time to lecture Horn about nearly becoming a victim as a team of police officers arrived.
Edgar Horn hangs tight and waits for police after Hashim Fannin forced him out of his vehicle in an Atlanta parking lot.
“You thought I was your friend,” Fannin is heard chastising Horn in the video. “You went to bed and woke up stupid this morning, huh?”
Horn tried to play it off as a mistake, but that just fueled Fannin’s rant.
“You made a mistake and got into my … car. Yeah, you’re right. That is a mistake,” Fannin added. “You must have thought I had a ‘rob me’ sign on me.”
The sound of a wailing siren had Fannin putting the gun on the ground to wave down the officers to where he had Horn cornered.
Horn faces charges of attempted robbery and illegally entering an automobile, authorities said.
