Trey Gowdy Wrath You Face When You Don’t Investigate Sexual Misconduct

In a hearing Thursday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) deputy chief of staff John Reeder was asked by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) why he didn’t investigate numerous allegations of sexual harassment against an EPA official, Peter Jutro.

The allegations were well-known by Jutro’s immediate supervisors, yet Reeder claimed he had no idea about them when recommending Jutro for a promotion.

Reeder learned pretty quickly that his answers weren’t sufficient for Gowdy, as he was left stammering.
